Maserati Debuts Ferrari-V8-Powered Levante Trofeo SUV At New York Auto Show

Maserati Trofeo is powered by Ferrari-engineered twin turbo V8 that produces 590 horsepower.
Maserati has finally given its Levante SUV what it has needed all along, a Ferrari-engineered twin-turbo V8 that delivers 590 horsepower and 538 lb. ft. through an all-wheel drive system. Using Launch Control, it can hit 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and with a long enough road tops out at 187 mph.

Production starts this summer at the Maserati plant in Mirafiori, just outside Turin. The engine has been modified to work with the Maserati all-wheel drive system, but it’s a relative of the Ferrari-engineered and assembled V8s seen in other Italian cars.
